• Monthly mortgage payments being made

Judea & Samaria

• Investigating church planting models
• Formal partnership established with Judea Network
• Approved calling Scott Nocton to be our first Church Planter upon his ordination, effecitve January 1, 2008.  In preparation for this call, we have hired Scott effective August 6 to work part-time as Assistant Pastor.  In this role, he will begin the process of selecting the site  and other strategic planning activities for our first church plant.

Ends of the Earth

• We made our first payment of $40,000 to Morning Star Development toward the Community Center on April 11, 2007! Beginning in May we are making monthly payments of $5,000 through December 2009 to reach our commitment of $200,000.

• Morning Star has selected Jegelak as the site for the Community Center.  They have been operating a medical clinic in a school in the area, so Morning Star already has a presence in this area.  Work on the first building, the Medical Clinic, is nearing completion.  The plan is for the clinic to be operational by September 1.  Please keep this in your prayers as there are some issues with the contractor that is building the clinc.  The foundation is being laid for the second building, the Communications Building.

• The Police Commander for the area surrounding Jegdelak is a big advocate for Morning Star and the Community Center. He is visiting the elders of many surrounding villages to build local support. It is critical to gain “buy in” at the local level in order for a Community Center to be successful.
