Our Core Values...

1) We believe that worship of the true and living God is a person’s highest and most noble calling in life. 6) We believe that all Christ-followers should yearn for continuous growth and pursue full devotion to Christ.

  This includes the concepts of not belonging to ourselves, the Lordship and Headship of Christ, obedience to His will, and bringing glory to His name. (Phil. 2:8-10; Eph. 1:22-23; I Cor. 6:19; Rom. 12:1)   This includes the concepts of personal attitudes, behavior and character; stewardship, servanthood, humility, and the pursuit of Kingdom goals. (Eph. 4:25-26 & 32; Hebrews 12:1; Phil. 1:6; 1 Kings 11:4; Phil. 2:1-11;
2 Cor. 8:7)

2) We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the final authority in all matters of faith and life. 7) We believe that the church’s life and work should be thoroughly undergirded with prayer and intercession.

  This includes the concepts of teaching and preaching for life change, individual study, and development of a Christian worldview. (Romans 12:7 ; II Tim. 3:16-17; James 1:23-25, Col. 2:8-10; 2 Tim. 4:2, Phil. 2:5-11)
  This includes the concepts of personal and corporate times of communicating with God. (Acts 12:12; I Tim. 2:1; Acts 1:14)

3) We believe that lost people matter to God, and therefore, ought to matter to us, the church. 8) We believe that excellence in every area of ministry and life honors God and inspires people.

  This includes the concepts of relational evangelism, evangelism as a process, and actively seeking to save the lost. (Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15; Matt. 18:14)   This includes the concepts of evaluation, critical review, intensity, and excellence. (Col. 3:17; Mal. 1:6-14; Prov. 27:17)

4) We believe that a church is called to function as a unified community of servants using their spiritual gifts. 9) We believe that the work of the Holy Spirit is the transforming power for the Christian life.

  This includes the concepts of unity, servanthood, spiritual gifts, and ministry callings. (I Cor. 12 & 14; Rom. 12; Eph. 4; Psalm 133:1)   This includes the concepts of conviction of sin, repentance, reconciliation, guidance, and being filled with the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8; Eph. 1:13-14; John 16:8-15; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 5:18)

5) We believe that life transformation takes place most thoroughly within the loving relationships of small groups. 10) We believe the church is to be a caring community in which each individual feels loved, needed, valued and cared for by God and the church.

  This includes the concepts of authentic community, discipleship, vulnerability, encouragement, and accountability. (Luke 6:12-13; Acts 2:44-47; Gal. 6:1-5; Hebrews 10:24)   This includes the concepts of sharing our time and possessions, and loving and caring for one another. (Acts 4:32-35; John 13:34; Rom. 12:10; Gal. 6:2)
