2010 Golfaroo
You are invited to the 14th Annual Redeemer Golfaroo. This year's event is scheduled for Monday, August 9th, 2010 at Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake, Minnesota . This year's event will be a 54 hole team scramble.
Involvement is as easy as 1-2-3:
- Organize and REGISTER your team of four golfers - (single or double registrations will be teamed up) (Team registrations are still being accepted! Click here to register! )
- Ask friends, family, co-workers and church members for pledges or donations.
- Join us for a wonderful day of golf, fun and fundraising.
In the last 13 years, the Redeemer Golfaroo has raised over $255,000 for community groups, ministries and missions throughout our community and world.
The proceeds of this year's event will go to some very special projects:
- Faith Haven Camp. For decades thousands of children, teens, and adults have traveled to Faith Haven Camp to have a blast and connect with God. Some of the proceeds from this year’s tournament will be going to provide funds for camp upgrades, such as a new roof on the girl’s dorm, new rails on the bunk beds, and concrete replacement.
- Children’s Home in Tijuana, Mexico. Siempre Para Los Ninos (meaning "always for the children") is committed to providing food, clothing, shelter, education and love for children and relies completely on the donations of others. Siempre has a desire to offer dental care for all the children and people in the surrounding neighborhood. They have equipment already donated, dentists who are willing to volunteer their time, they just need additional funds to make this a reality.
- Some of the proceeds will go to purchase a new trailer for the church bus, so that the youth will be able to transport all of their gear needed for camps and retreats.
The fundraising goal for each participant is $600 (A minimum of $300 is needed to play), which is due no later than the day of the tournament. A Sponsorship Sheet is provided to help each participant raise pledges from friends, family, or other church members who would like to contribute.
All sponsorships and donations are tax deductible and due the day of the tournament. Checks should be made out to Redeemer Golfaroo.
Please mark your calendars and send in your Registration Form to Redeemer no later than July 30th, 2010 to guarantee a position for your team in the tournament. Submit your Sponsorship Pledge Sheet and funds no later than the day of the tournament.
