You are invited to the 13th Annual Redeemer Golfaroo. This year's event is scheduled for Monday, August 3rd, 2009 at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker, Minnesota . This year's event will be a 54 hole team scramble.
Involvement is as easy as 1-2-3:
- Organize and REGISTER your team of four golfers - (single or double registrations will be teamed up) (Team registrations are still being accepted! Click here to register! )
- Ask friends, family, co-workers and church members for pledges or donations.
- Join us for a wonderful day of golf, fun and fundraising.
In the last 12 years, the Redeemer Golfaroo has raised over $240,000 for community groups, ministries and missions throughout our community and world.
The proceeds of this year's event will go to some very special projects:
- Expansion of YWAM Tijuana Del Mar facilities. This new 13 acre YWAM property will make it possible to expand the Homes of Hope program, building 500 homes per year for the poor; and yearly host up to 10,000 participants for YWAM events, missions and ministry activities. We will be sending a team to the site in early 2010 to re-construct the welcome center and to build a home.
- Kids Against Hunger. Is a non-profit organization whose mission is t to provide fully nutritious food to impoverished children around the world. Feeding programs, orphanages, schools, and clinics around the world receive food from Kids Against Hunger. Last March in one evening friends gathered at Redeemer and packed 65,000 meals for starving children. This next year our goal is to raise the funds to double that amount.
- Redeemer electronics communications enhancement... A small part of this years proceeds are going to purchase a couple of flat screen monitors that will be used in Redeemer's commons area to improve communication about ministry opportunities and events at Redeemer.
The fundraising goal for each participant is $600 (A minimum of $300 is needed to play), which is due no later than the day of the tournament. A Sponsorship Sheet is provided to help each participant raise pledges from friends, family, or other church members who would like to contribute.
All sponsorships and donations are tax deductible and due the day of the tournament. Checks should be made out to Redeemer Golfaroo.
Please mark your calendars and send in your Registration Form to Redeemer no later than July 24, 2009 to guarantee a position for your team in the tournament. Submit your Sponsorship Pledge Sheet and funds no later than the day of the tournament.
