Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.”

We go to church. We attend A.W.O.L., J.H.a.M.S., Cornerstone Sunday School, or Kids R.O.C.K. We pray often or even daily. We read our Bibles, when we have time or even some of us make time; yet, have we let the words of Christ himself penetrate our hearts? When Jesus shared what was most important to do above all things, he did not hesitate or have to think. He knew that the most important thing for us to do as his followers was to do as he did... He loved the father with EVERYTHING he was. At the depths of his life he loved the Father above everything else. He let his mind, words, and actions be motivated by the love he had for the Father. Then Jesus took the command one step further and said we are to LOVE our neighbor as ourselves. WOW. Loving God the Father is great, but Jesus stressed that it was not enough. First we LOVE God with our EVERYTHING and then we are to do the same for the world of people around us. Following Christ is not just a Sunday thing or a sometime thing, it should be "Everything I am."
