Golfaroo History
What do you get when you get a few guys together who love God and golf? A fabulous fundraiser with a funny name!
The Golfaroo concept came together in 1997 when a few guys from Redeemer decided to host a golf tournament to raise money for various ministries, both inside and outside Redeemer.
Over the last 11 years, the Golfaroo has raised over $220,000.00 for
the following missions:
* Oakdale Youth House in San Francisco, California
* Spiritual Retreat Center in Varanasi, India
* Church planting in Nepal
* Mission Adventures in New Zealand
* Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City
* Youth With A Mission - San Diego/Baja
* Built an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico
And the following ministries:
* CEAP (Community Emergency Assistance Program)
* Teen Challenge
* Glorybound
* Faith Haven Camp
* Redeemer's Children and Youth Ministries, Men's Ministry, Worship and Outreach Ministries.
Every year, the Golfaroo proves to be a highlight fellowship event with many golfers and almost as many volunteers! With no end in sight, the Golfaroo continues to be a fun way to serve one another and raise money for worth-while ministries, missions, and projects.

I guess 54 holes isn't enough for some. |
